This policy covers what happens to your data when you use this website, when you become a client, and when someone contacts a client through a site we built.
Who we are
This site is run by LeanAtom. We build, host, and maintain websites for small businesses. You can reach us at hello@leanatom.com.
If you fill out our form
What we collect
When you use the form on this site, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Whatever you write about your business, including any links you send us
Email is the only field we truly need, along with your name. The rest is optional.
How it reaches us
The form sends your details to our own server at api.leanatom.com over an encrypted connection. From there it lands in our email inbox, which is protected by two-factor authentication.

- Understand your business well enough to show you what we'd build
- Follow up if we're in the middle of a conversation
We don't add you to a mailing list. We don't send marketing blasts.
If you become a client
What we hold
To build and run your site, we hold your business details, the content you send us (text, photos, logo), your domain information, and your contact details for billing and support.
Payments
We don't store your card details. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor, and your card information goes to them, not to us.
Leads that come through a site we built
This part matters if you're a client, or if you filled out a form on a site we host for someone else.
When someone submits a form on a client's site, their details pass through our systems on the way to the client's inbox. We are handling that data on the client's behalf. We only use it to deliver the message and send the automatic reply. We don't use it for our own marketing, and we don't sell it.
If you contacted a business through a site we host and you want your message deleted, you can contact that business directly, or email us and we'll pass it along.
Tracking
We don't use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics on this website.
Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and the pages requested. These are used to keep the service running and secure.
Some client sites may use analytics if the client asks for it. That's covered by that client's own privacy policy, not this one.
Who else sees your data
We don't sell your information. We don't share it for anyone else's marketing.
We do use a small number of service providers to run the business: a web host, an email provider, a payment processor, and a domain registrar. They only see what they need to do their job.
We would also disclose information if the law required it.
How long we keep it
If you contacted us and we didn't end up working together, we keep your message for up to 12 months, then delete it.
If you're a client, we keep your information while you're with us and for a reasonable period after, so we can handle billing records and answer questions if you come back.
You can ask us to delete your data sooner. Just email us.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete any data we hold about you. Email hello@leanatom.com and we'll take care of it.
Children
This service is for businesses. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here with a new date.
